Man, you guys are tough and I'm an Alabama hater with the best of them. The kid lead his team to the national championship game as a true freshman. He turned a broken play into a 40 plus yard TD run that would have won the game, had he not ironically given the best player in college football last year a minute and a half of time remaining to lead his team to the win. As for the defense, I think it was 8 straight 3 and outs (before that broken play) and any defense is going to be gassed at that point in the game if the offense can't get first downs and then happens to score quickly.

Its crazy. With his 4 million dollar signing bonus his base salary and various incentives like winning a bowl or the NC championship he could make over 12 million dollars this year.

Worth every penny! Since Nick's been on campus the Athletic Department has been able to pump so much money into the general scholarship fund that the majority of Bama undergrads are now out-of-staters. Saved me a ton of money.

I still want to know why they decided to not show up and play in the championship game last year. LOL
Still boggles my mind.
Man you make it sound like we got beat 49-10 or something. :poke:

Seriously it was not ALABAMA best game. No doubt. Clearly ALABAMA defense simply could not stop their NFL caliber quarterback from moving the ball downfield on first down conversions time and time again. That is what lost ALABAMA the game.

ALABAMA has reloaded this year and will be back. Yall don't want us.

See you on the 50.

I hope he hangs around, would like to beat him as many times possible!
we need a coach that "can" beat him

*most talented vol team since 2006
*6 players drafted in 4 rounds
*6 signed as FA?

and yet we lost to vandy, sc and bama in knoxville 49-10...we aint even close

In collage actual coaching is only a drop in the bucket. Recruiting and talent scouting is the biggest part. Greatest X and O coach can't get far without the talent. And then look at Les Miles, not the sharpest but could recruit. Little Nicky gets the pick of the litter. Don't get me wrong I couldn't game plan and call plays for Alabama and win, but it's like the old car saying "There is no replacement for displacement"

I think there is a lot of truth in the above post.

Players want to go to schools where they feel they have the best chance at getting a strong draft choice.

ALABAMA had 10 NFL draft picks this year with 4 in round one. That does not happen by accident.
