As I said above I understand the injury risk but if you go back over the last 10-15 years and looked at injuries in bowl games how many kids were hurt and it changed their draft status? I don't care enough to try and find that answer and is a rhetorical question. If the book is already out on him, and I agree with you it is, then a good or bad game won't change any NFL team's opinion. I just think they've played 12-13 other games this year so what's one more? To me it's about being part of the team. You started with them and you finish with them. Not saying that's the best way but just my opinion and we know what those are like! 😂
 
Could careless. About any bowl game that's not a new year 6 bowl or playoff. Don't blame them a bit for opting out. Most people complaining about it would do the same thing. How many actually work out a 2 week notice at a mediocre job? Millions are at stake for these kids. At the end of the day at gets extra practices for all the young kids that actually have a chance to win something meaningful. Don't get me wrong want to win every game but these athletes making a business decision I will never hold that against them. Joe will be drafted higher then anyone expects. Imo. Right or wrong. For me I am excited to see nico.

In Tua case. He was a Stud,. Hands down stud. Fragile as hell. Everyone knew what they were buying when they bought him and he still went #5 in a fragile state regardless of opt outs or not.

Take Bryce Young, man has everything on the line. Was in talks for a top 5 draft pick. Solidify his #1 draft slot by showing teams his dedication to his craft.

I find it hilarious that QBs and other potential NFL players that are at best free agents acting like that they are 1st round draft picks acting like they are Bryce and Tua . ABSOLUTELY HÌILLARIIOUS

I wouldn't have drafted AR as a qb or for that matter Levis because both looked at best pedestrian to me. Especially so for a high first round pick and many millions in guaranteed money like AR got but both have surprised me. Honestly to a lesser extent Hurts has surprised me in the same way but I viewed him as a much better prospect than those two. Do I think Joe is gonna be a great NFL qb? No. Do I think he has a super high ceiling based off of athletic ability. Yes. I know he does and so do NFL execs. He will be drafted and probably higher than most think. I think 3-5th rd. You call it a stupid decision and I think that's a silly assessment. Qb is the hardest position to project. The almost can't miss (if there's such thing) guys like a Peyton manning or Andrew Luck or whoever cost you millions and millions and if you miss it's a huge miss. A flier on a super athletic qb who has had some success in college in the 5th rd is an easy bet to take. Much less investment and much higher reward if you hit. Look at everyone's fav example Tom Brady. Look at Brock Purdy. It's different than taking a db or rb in the 5th who has not played to expectation in college. They project easier and you can find them a whole lot easier than franchise qb's or even passable qb's. To me taking Joe late is almost equal to giving a wr who was decent and has the athletic ability a free agent tryout. That being said I wouldn't draft Joe. He's still not accurate enough and I don't think he's that good at reading defenses and I think heupel had to really scale back his offensive play calling this year to try and help Joe out. Also if that was a bama guy you'd be saying someone is missing out if they don't give him a chance and raving about his ability and how raw a talent he is. No one is fooled or takes your takes seriously

Doesn't bother me players like Milton and Wright have opted out. Probably the best thing for the program going forward getting these young guys reps. Wouldn't be surprised if they was asked to set out and work on NFL stuff. It's just a 8-4 bowl game nothing crazy.

I don't remember anyone getting mad when Hooker and Hyatt opted out of a new year 6 game.

Never can tell how guys will turn out at the next level. Carolina moving up to take Bryce first over all turned out to be a horrible move. Bears got WR1 and this years first pick so Carolina could draft a QB with 11 TDS and 10 INTs and is 2nd to last in QBR. He might need more dedication to his craft
