You are wrong there. The selecting committee will consider Strength of Schedule as well as Oh States rocky performance against teams they should be destroying.

At this point, I don't think OH St. deserves a top 6 spot. Maybe 7th or 8th. We will see what the Selection Committee thinks soon enough, but I would be surprised if they were selected among the top 4.

Let's entertain the transitive property of statistics for a moment. If Ohio State in your expert opinion is the 8th best team, then where does that rank your favorite team if said 8th best team racked up almost 600 yards of offense beating your team back on Jan 1?

So u are still going off of last years teams??? Bama has played a lot better teams than O$U has.

The transitive property really only works in Mathematics. Last years teams aren't the same as this years....and Meyer and Saban aren't bringing back last years teams to compete this year.

I think Bama is ranked about where they should be. If they win the remainder of their schedule(and the SEC C'ship) they will be in the Playoff...probably as the #1 seed...In the process they will have beaten 5 or 6 ranked teams. . If OH wins the rest of their their schedule and conf c'ship, they will have only beaten 2 or 3 ranked teams.

Guys, just relax and enjoy the moment. The SEC is on the outside looking in this week and it's something worth celebrating. Hopefully it will stay that way, but maybe not. For now, though, let's all acknowledge how awesome this situation is for college football. [emoji41]

You must be feeling good that ND will beat up on Navy this weekend.... :)

Since ND lost to Clemson, it's pretty much ended their season... :)

ND is in a great position to slip into the #4 playoff spot when they finish 11-1...especially since everyone knows they really beat Clemson on the road despite the score. [emoji41]

Looks like we'll get another week to enjoy there not being any SEC teams in the top 5 or 6. Also, there are two reasons for a little extra celebration this week...

- ND will move up a couple of slots toward that #4 playoff spot
- 4 SEC teams went down yesterday.

Enjoy it while you can, because it won't last. The SEC will have at least 1 team in the final 4...maybe 2.

Ummm when teams in the same conference play each other one of them has to lose. The SEC was 2-0 in out of conference play this weekend by a combined score of 97-20.

Like I said before, that's not my problem. If you're going to be in a conference, you have to take the bad with the good.

I'm hoping there is a Saturday with a full slate of SEC conference games so that 7 SEC teams can go down on the same weekend! :party:
