Paging all Tampa Bay Fans.....

H-E-L-L NO keep him in florida if the titans do not draft amari cooper we have a solid qb in Zach draft needs to be Amari Cooper and 7 defensive picks starting with the d=line
 
I think cooper would be a nice pick for the titans, But most are saying titans will pick a pass rusher with the first pick now Since tamp bay will take Marcus. Titans only have 1 receiver (Kendall Wright) that's proved his a solid player.

I know defense and cooper make the most sense. but mariotta will bring excitement and could be rile model that the music city needs. plus he is much more dynamic that zack. he would be the most complete qb in the league, when you add all aspects- athletic ability (4.4) intelligence (projections of 40+ on wonderlic), character, mechanics, size, ball security and arm talent. now I am not crazy, I am not saying he is anywhere near the best, just has a unique skill set to build upon.

I'm all for taking Mariotta If his not picked by Tampa Bay. But since Tampa Will take Mariotta. copper is the next guy on my list.
 
^^^ He had a solid rookie season didn't show much in year 2, I Think he could be a good receiver a good deep ball guy. but I dont know if I would want him as my #1 or #2 receiver.
And with Nate Washington most likely gone. Who I think had a better all around year then Hunter. That just leaves the titans in more need for a solid receiver.
 
My uncle lives in Tampa, and said that they need to build their offensive line. They have two QBs that can be developed, they just need an offensive line to protect them. They have a good WR in Mike Evans...he has 1000 yds in receiving. Build the OL, and things should get better.
 
^^^ Maybe they will have better luck rebuilding There O-Line then the titans have:/ they have used 2 High first round picks on the O-Line last 2 Drafts and still suck:/
 
New offensive co-ordinator has been hired to build around Winston at Tampa Bay. Winston despite his antics off the field has been described as the most pro ready QB in the draft. Mariota probably goes back to Oregon to be #1 next year.
 
Thanks Donkey---put in a good word for the Bucs. Mariota will never survive in Tampa. Also too many not ready for the Pro style QB's here already. Ive been a season ticket holder in Tampa since 1976 and can inform you there is not a decent QB on Tampa's team right now.
 
I thing that puzzles me is I read ALOT of Mock drafts something I do for fun. Every time a big name NFL/ESPN Expert Puts a new one out. Which is a couple times a week. Just read a new one 15 Mins ago on my work brake and I've NEVER seen 1 single mock draft were an expert I've heard well I've not read one wrote by anyone that has Winston being picked by Tampa Bay:)
 
Don't read ESPN they hate Winston----whatever.Something I do for fun is talk to other Tampa fans and radio personalities in this area that agree Winston will be picked.Pro ball is big business they need the fans in Tampa. Some hate Winston just like they hated Warrick Dunn and Derrick Brooks but turned to fans later.
 
Now I have seen well known experts say stuff like.
Winston is the better pocket passer.
Winston has the better NFL body.
Winston is more NFL ready.
If it was not for the trouble he got in He would be the #1 pick for sure.

But when it comes to the mock drafts 80'/, Of them have him outta the top 5
 
Sadly...Yes I am a Bucs fan. Used to be a Miami fan until the Bucs started up in the 70's. I remember the Selmon brothers, Dave Pear and the "Throw McKay in the Bay" years.
I watched Doug Williams stand in one end zone and throw a ball to the other end zone. 100yards in the air! It got so bad
that they used to give us kids tickets just to get us in the stands on game day. :lol:

I actually hope you are right. The bucs deserve Winston, because he is a product of the Florida college football system, win at all costs perpetuated by fans like yourself, but it cant happen. It would not be logical and the risk would be too high with the first pick. First obviously is dizzying amount of serious off the field transgressions, that n one in a civilized country anywhere in the world can deny hearing about. It is not like that when he is implicated on some heinous crime the GM and coach can say, "We didn't know he was prone to this behavior". Second, you have a qb that is a far superior athlete to him in almost every measurable criteria sitting there waiting. Winston is simply not first pick talent. Mariota is Smarter (wait to the wonderlics scores are out), faster (Winston will be lucky to run in the 4.6's, mariota is already in 4.4's), more elusive and shifty, more accurate (although I know that Oregon receivers are always open- Mariota has 55 TD versus 3 interceptions this year with a 184.3 qb rating and his freshmen and sophomore), more attractive- I know that is not winstons fault, but females are the fastest growing segment of NFL fans and it is important for selling jerseys, and most important to me is obviously character (choir boy versus Americas most wanted). Plus the NFL'S ongoing project against sexual and domestic abuse makes it an even crazier pick.

I do have a proposition for ya. Since you have been a Bucs season ticket holder since before I was born, and your finger is on the pulse of everything "Bucs", how about a friendly little wager. It is obvious the BUCS needs QB. Their last fist round pick, Freeman (Winston 1.0 with better morals) was a flop and their is no one on that roster who has a prayer of being a legit starter in THE nfl. So a QB will be drafted, assuming that Mariota does come out (we know Winston will be there, cause some believe he was kicked out), lets put some cash on that first pick. Say $100.00. The money can go to a TNDEER charity. We have plenty of witnesses, and If I lose I will pay and If I win, I will donate every cent of it. Bucs take Mariota at 1, I win. Winston at 1, you win. Someone else goes first, then the bet goes for the first QB off the board.

Montana, manning, brees, and Rodgers were all too thin to play as well. Mariota hasn't ever missed a game to injury and at 6'4'' he has plenty of height. the only drawback I see with mariota is that he has played out of an non NFL alignment, but he is a quick learner I don't think he will have any trouble. Nick Foles has lit the NFL up and played in the same system
