I know, I know, "long season", "lot of games left", blah, blah, blah :D

BUT,

IF we beat Bama, lose to GA, then GA beats Bama in Sec championship game (and all 3 teams only have one loss), do all three go to the playoffs?

What if Bama beats us, but we beat GA, then we beat Bama in championship game, what happens?

Ain't this fun?

UGA would be undefeated and the #1 team in that first scenario. And SEC champs

In second scenario again Bama would be undefeated #1 team in the country, and Tennessee would rattle of six Stright Ws including a top 3 UGA team on the road and a ranked KY team.

I think if your 11-1 with UTs strength of schedule with only loss being to the #1 team then you should be one of the top 4 teams In the country.

What if UT beats Bama then lost against UGA then KY beats UGA?....UT would be 11-1 with only loss to UGA. UGA would be 11-1 with only loss to KY a team UT beat. Bama Would be 11-1 with only loss to UT.

What if UT lost to Bama then ran the table and Ole miss beat Bama?..... UT would be 11-1, with loss to Bama.... Bama 11-1 with a loss to Ole miss .....UGA 11-1 with a loss to UT. and Ole miss 12-0

Kentucky ain't beating Georgia, UT may have to play Alabama twice to get anywhere and that would be 1-1 at best, and Ole Miss ain't gonna win the west undefeated. This is why UT fans drive me absolutely crazy. Sniff a little bit of success and all the sudden folks are talking National Championship scenarios. It was the same way in 2016 when y'all started 5-0 with talent still on NFL rosters to this day. UT's defense will have to improve greatly before they can win it all. Dreaming is fun though.

Bama doesn't have Bryce next week. TN rolls the gumps. Weirdo will be in full meltdown
As a non-bandwagon Alabama fan, I agree with your take. If Bryce Young doesn't play Alabama will be too one dimensional to outscore UT. That said, Bryce Young will play next week but I still believe UT will make it as close a game as it's been since 2009.

Serious question: If that's the case why come to a Tennessee sports forum? There's a good chance the majority will be Tennessee fans talking about Tennessee. Aren't there any alabama sports forums? I honestly don't get why you, PDB, bloodtrailing, and the moron troll love to come here for your sports chat. Yes, I know, it says sports talk for all fans, but I don't get it. I have WAAAAAY less than ZERO interest in going to a forum where Kentucky fans are discussing Kentucky, Florida fans are discussing Florida, etc. Let's face it, if Tennessee beat alabama regularly none of y'all would be here. I'm not trying to start a fight. It's a serious question.

I'm not capable of looking that far ahead. I don't care how good Tennessee is (I am not sold on the defense yet, so I don't think they are as good as everyone thinks) and how "bad" alabama is (if Young plays Saturday they will look like Tom Brady's New England Patriot championship teams), until they prove to me they can beat alabama, everything else isn't worthy of consideration. I hate to not be as optimistic as everyone else. I'm just a realist and have to see the proof.

If we drive you crazy now, wait till we beat trailer park nation. You will have nowhere to hide that we won't find you. We gonna be insufferable 😁

Oh I'm a realist. We could be undefeated and then have Vanderbilt beat us.

I was more curious of the possibility of having 3 teams playoff worthy, and if the committee would do it. I don't think they would.

Didn't you say the same thing before the FL game?

I probably did, and as happy as I am with the win, the coaching staff tried to lose it at the end with a Phil Fulmer "run out the clock and try not to lose mentality". Make no mistake, alabama and Georgia aren't Florida. I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade. I'm just saying that I've been disappointed way too many times to be very optimistic. There is no bigger Tennessee fan, and if they win Saturday nobody will be happier. I just have to see it to believe it.
