Thanks Big Dave. Yes the mineral mix is one of the keys. What we have learned is that mineral supplements is one part and those other elements are just as important. It's like compounding interest and the dividends are paid over time and a diverse portfolio is key. One way to tell if your mineral program is working on your heard is that button bucks will have long protruding buttons 2-3".
 
I fully agree. And adding a form of protein supplement during spring and summer is another great addition too. Word of caution though. Anything over about 12-16% protein is a waste of $$$. Their bodies can utilize just so much protein to maximize its value to them. Anything over that amount tends to be waste - literally.
