They also busted him in the field doing some illegal activities. Also ill caution everyone to be careful blasting TWRA on public forum / social media 99.9% of them are doing the job to the best of their ability and with the ever changing laws / rulings it's a hard job to keep up with all of it while doing a job
Just ask a member that used to frequent here faired after he did it, Twra with other agencies searched his house and last I heard he had like 20 charges on an indictment
Sounds like you all are convinced this was a retaliation case…They also busted him in the field doing some illegal activities.
Dont do illegal and they won't be any chargesAlso ill caution everyone to be careful blasting TWRA on public forum / social media 99.9% of them are doing the job to the best of their ability and with the ever changing laws / rulings it's a hard job to keep up with all of it while doing a job

So you think they knew about it but did nothing about it until he pissed them off ? Serious question, not trying to come across as being smart about it.Because he pissed off the wrong people and they was just waiting to catch him he would probably still be getting away with it if it wasn't for that
No but I'm sure they jumped at the opportunity once his name crossed their desk as potentially breaking the law vs just sitting on it focusing on something more serious like they tend to doSo you think they knew about it but did nothing about it until he pissed them off ? Yep!Dont do illegal and they won't be any charges
It seems the majority of US citizens are leaning towards becoming anti-government.Not going to try to start a fight. I have the degree and know quite a few wardens all stand up guys. They work long hours for little pay. They try to give the benefit of the doubt for honest folks who may have minor infraction's. Why is everyone so anti game warden? Would you rather abolish the agency and the laws they enforce? They try to focus on the problem children doing damage to the resource! Yes there are jerks among them but give the good guys a break they're trying their best to make your hunting experiences better… oh and license checks are part of the job. Just my thoughts but I don't fret when I have an interaction with them for I've done nothing wrong.

Everyone isn't anti game warden. Don't let it bother you. Most of us are pro law enforcement. But just like what's going on in the rest of our country, a small minority is making a lot of noise. This is a hunting forum, so you will have some folks that hate wardens. Some have a reason too; some hate anyone in authority. Not going to try to start a fight. But when LE does something wrong, it has to be called out. This ruling that removes the wardens ability to do their job came about from a couple of wardens putting cameras on private property, and then getting a search warrant for the victims (Yes, at that point they became victims) house after they were accused of stealing them. They were threatened with arrest if they didn't hand over the cameras, and if I remember correctly, they were eventually arrested.
You don't have to be a trained law enforcement officer to know that what they did was a violation of the victims rights. Yet we constantly see people claiming that what the wardens did at that time was legal. That's ridiculous. I can believe maybe one guy being dumb enough or new enough to not know what they were doing was wrong, but not two. As far as I know there were never any repercussions for their actions.
So the result will be, as you say, damage to the resources TWRA says they protect. I do not believe this court ruling would stand, but the TWRA decided not to appeal it so that's where we are. The TWRA and its agents not being properly trained are the reason for this. That doesn't set well with many.

"Open fields" gave them the right to be there. It did not give them the right to install surveillance equipment on private property and then threaten the property owners with arrest for removing it. Any rookie cop I worked with would have known that.At the time the wardens went onto the property what was the standing US Supreme Court Ruling on the matter?
