Today East Commerce Baptist Church in Lewisburg held its 1st Annual Hunt Contest. We had 32 hunters in 13 teams brave the rain, wind, and cold for a chance at the cash prizes. Entry fee was 20$ per team. In this contest we hunted in teams of 2 adults and 2 kids under 15. The scoring was Coyotes 12 points
Rabbits 3 points
Crows 3 points
Gray Squirrel w/rifle 4 points
Gray Squirrel w/shotgun 2 points
Fox squirrel w/rifle 3 points
Fox squirrel w/ shotgun 1 point

Man 39 points, congrats to them, I would have never thought on a day like yesterday you could kill that much. It was a bad day for me and RNT. Enjoyed getting out. Sorry I couldn't make it to the festivities after. Thanks Blue for getting it together.

Had a great time running around trying to scrape up some points. Congrats to Ben and Brian on puttin the smack down!! I'm ready for the next one already!
 
The first place team, second place team, and one member of the third place team musta had a heck of a wildlife management teacher in High School.lol They all took Honors Wildlife.

I think having a great bteacher was the key to the succes of those teams/My teacher really was the best, good job Blue5
 
the Fuller boys did work with the 5 rabbs they killed they almost had that hunt on lock down without fenders help.
 
i belive the winners were suppose to get hats and t-shirts,bottle rockets ,old dog trukck of t-burds, and some NIB open read calls / What gives?

If you will remember he did for one morning! He tucked tail and ran home after lunch! He still owes us 75$ for the cleats he signed up for! True story!

May you don't want those shirts. Go to the Goodwill and get you something better. The bottle rockets are duds only two or three will light. The truck is a staple of the community, the kids will have nothing to paint at the end of the year. Dont know about the calls
