Roadkill fish feeding station ? I recall one on a small private lake in Indiana that worked great. Attracted all kinds of fish during the summer months. Very simple to build just takes a couple 1 x 8 or 2 x 8 boards, some Styrofoam blocks or sheets glued together and some chicken wire. Build a box whatever size you want and put the Styrofoam around the inside edges to float the box and some carry some extra weight. Staple the chicken wire over the top where there is a large hole in the center. Pick up any roadkill critter, of which plenty of that around. Float the box and put the roadkill on top laying on the wire. Fly's will be attracted to the roadkill and lay egg's which result in maggot's that will fall thru the wire into the water. Fish will key on that food source and as we know big fish will follow small fish. You can fix it in place by anchor or rope tied shore to shore. By the rope method you don't even need a boat to put roadkill on the top just leave enough rope to pull the box one shore to one side or another. One warning tho do not fish downwind of the box without nose plug's...LOL. The old guy that built this one loved groundhogs for some reason, he said they last longer than other roadkill critters. I caught everything from yellow perch to Northern Pike while fishing around that box.
