Never had one, fired one or held one till now!.

Does anyone have any experience with them?

What do most people use for sighting options?

At 1 time they were hated due to accuracy issues, been a long time ago so suspect they have that ironed out. Lot of ammo choices out there and hoping the prices come down where folks can afford to shoot more.

Thats what I've found as well?

I've bout a few boxes here and these but not enough for a day at the range yet.

prob my fav gun to shoot. its garand style action is super robust and loud when it cycles but there almost no recoil. is yours the thin barrel or does it have a taper where the barrel starts out much thicker and narrows down? ive got a vortex scout style scope on mine and its worked great.

Yeah that's def a more classic one with the thinner barrel. If you let 20+ shots roll out, they tend to experience some shot stringing as the thin barrel heats up, but still such a great gun!

if you can find your serial number, you can look up the year range .
