S Carolina in playoff over Bama & Ole Miss?

Clemson will probably win so it won't be an issue.
USCe may very well jump Alabama in the polls. If they do it's an Alabama's fault. Alabama has 2 bad losses. I think the Oklahoma loss is the worst. The team just didn't look very good. I thought Alabama rebounded nicely last weekend. I thought they played with intensity and didn't lay down like a lot thought they would.
I'm not sure why H2H don't matter this year when it did last year. They said Alabama couldn't make the playoffs in front of Texas because they lost to Texas in September. Alabama beat USCe in October.

One reason the head-to-head didn't count so much a few weeks ago was because there was basically a round-robin of which teams beat other teams. I've seen some people that insist head-to-head matters. I lean more towards it should be considered but the amount of weight it carries can vary depending on the situation including if the home team was the winner or loser.

It really is a tossup so that head-to-head could end up being the deciding factor keeping USC back. It might make more sense to give Ole Miss the nod; they beat USC on the road and beat Georgia. Alabama's loss at Vanderbilt early in the season was bad but Vandy is the type of team that usually fades by the end of the season; the loss at Oklahoma was mega-bad. The strength-of-schedule for Ole Miss is a level worse than Alabama's which will likely keep Bama ahead of Ole Miss.
