In my recent scouting I've found a super funnel area with rubs and scrapes and what appears to be an old well used salt lick. As long as I'm not replenishing the the lick it should be legal to hunt over I'm guessing.? I know you cannot put salt out anymore on a wma but what about existing licks? It's not like it's going to pull a buck into my area during a hunt.

I worked for the forest service in the late 70's on the Ocoee district and we put out salt through out the WMA, not sure if they still do it or not.

I can assure you they don't. They don't do anything anymore. At least the Cherokee national forest. The only things they do is take of major "touristy" stuff (the Bald River bridge being an example) and burn. Other than that, they don't do crap.
