School me on these arrowheads

Clint, if these were authentic, these would be worth more than the Tacoma I'm driving! The fluted points alone go on average for a thousand an inch in great condition. Most collectors won't consider a modern point because it makes their authentic collection suspect. If these are modern, there are several in your case folks would pay a hundred dollars for someone to make.

Last year when I was in OK, I met several Native Americans who made modern points but represented them as authentic Native American artifacts. They were selling tons of points and representing them as real. Some even had a certificate of authenticity. Me and you grew up in an area where some of the best points in the world have been found. Heavens Half Acre and the creek holds tons of points yet to be found! I have several fluted points I have found over my life in Colbert and still search for them today. Just remember the longer the point, and the sharper the edges and point, the harder it is to survive in the "wild".

Take care! I appreciate you. B

That's what I found out as well.
Most of them are likely reproductions, but the smaller, broken ones are authentic.
👍

My uncles father had thousand probably, He spent a lifetime around Dekalb and surrounding areas searching for them, not sure what happened to them as both have passed. they both had really sharp eyes on spotting stuff. What story's they could tell if they could talk lol. I know of a spot on the creek below my grandparents old place that Indians used to make them, big pile of broken and chips, I never went off the trail to see what had fallen as they worked but bet there's a lot down there, there were a lot of copperheads around that creek 45 years ago, I also found a foot print in the creek bed rock, another untold story there.
