• Help Support TNDeer:

Seek One knocks down a TN stud!!

It is the bigger picture. Hunters are a minority, arguably less than 5% of the population, so our image is extremely important. IMO, more so now than in any other time in history. Sketchy tactics with questionable ethics that are promoted on social media is easy picking for those that are not in our court, it also sways the opinions of those that are indifferent.

Here is what the ATL suburbs are facing since SeekOne has risen to popularity.
It's not that they're trying to outlaw it lol. Even says in the article they don't wanna change it on private property.

You said a whole lot there. It is pathetic someone has to shoot a pet deer to make money.
I will always speak out against that, not sure why any of us support such crap.
This is how albinos got protected . There are not any pet deer the way the law sees it . If u make them pets you are doing them a huge injustice and most likely breaking the law.

This goes back 5 years ago in ATL...

"How can we be a progressive city while allowing bowhunters in our back yard?" she asked. "I don't want to sit on my deck and watch a bowhunter next to me try and kill deer with arrows. I encourage all citizens of Sandy Springs to put pressure on [the city] council members and get this stopped immediately. We live in a city!"

So you wouldn't fight your neighbor if they were trying to push that nonsense? State law supersedes city law anyway so how would be handled? Y'all are getting way too worked up over a stupid deer lol.

Who says he just has that one parcel to hunt. Lots of assumptions being made on the whole deal. Dude hunts a certain way everyone blows up. Who cares. It's making him a good living. And guaranteed he doesn't care what any of us think
I think most of the jabbing has been in fun? I know mine has. Awesome deer.

While I certainly understand why some have a problem with hunting the way they do; if I could make a living from it and reap all the rewards (not just monetary) they have - I probably would. I have a good job; but I'd quit in a heartbeat if I could make the same or more doing something in the hunting industry. Not to mention the sponsorship and free gear, other hunting opportunities etc. This is assuming they are doing everything legally (getting permission, not baiting) which from the episodes I've watched they are.

Is it my cup of tea hunting that way? No, but I don't fault them one bit for it; and I am envious of anyone that is able to do what they love and make a living from it.

The only baiting I've seen them do was legal. I don't fault the guys, I'd love to do it as well

Georgia has right to fish and hunt, same as we do. But what these jurisdictions are doing is outlawing being able to shoot archery outside of a licensed archery range. Essentially, ending hunting in the city.

Legitimately 20-22 Private Property owners within 100 yards of the tree he was hunting in. Add to that hunting within 40 yards of Metro Gov't Property is sketchy at best.

To each their own, but I would rather drag a slick head by the ear a couple miles than deal with the BS of hunting a place like that.

Regardless of how we'd rather hunt, I don't understand the bashing. I'd love to hunt west Tn and see 20 deer a sit, but I don't. The same argument of the "pet" deer could be made anywhere. If they're doing something illegal, it'll catch up to them.

So there's only 2 parcels he can get permission on
It is Seek1, so anything is possible and he's set up in the landscaping beside someone's kitchen. Heck, they may even be handing him dinner out the window while he hunts. But, the rest of the area is 1/3 acre lots with houses on them.

I didn't see him by anyones kitchen on this hunt, but I sure wouldn't mind a good breakfast on those cold morning hunts in the stand.

I don't know that there is as much "bashing" the hunting as there is for the "hey, look at me and what I did" part of it. For folks that aren't into the monetary greed part of hunting, those actions are a turn off. Different strokes for different folks. If you like that kind of stuff, great. I don't.

I skimmed through the video and he mentions he's been doing a food plot there for 4 years. I didn't see one so maybe I missed it. I did see a barren dirt area where it seemed something had been. The turkeys scratched around there and the deer came to it too. 🤷‍♂️
