I was hoping Dobbs had gotten better, but it seems he has not. He had recievers open all night but never saw them. His field reading ability is very lacking. They could have ran the score up on them if he had that ability because there was huge mismatches all night.
The O line did a bad job.
The run D was horrible. They killed us with jet sweeps and misdirection plays. I run those same plays with the 5th and 6th grade team I coach. Very fundamental.

The biggest thing is if that poor kicker had made the extra point App. st. would have won in regulation .
Stupid penalties that were avoidable should never happen. The App. St. player did call for a fair catch and Maybinshould have never touched him.

There were bad calls. The end zone catch that was ruled incomplete was a bad call. He caught it and had control of the ball before it came out. That is a TD. The other bad call: I do not know how you can have a play reviewed and called back AFTER another play has been played after it, the ball was down and everything on the play after. I haven't watched it on TV yet to see how that can be yet.

They played crappy and won. I'll take it, on to VT and hope the line plays better.

but thanks to whoever quoted Cur so i could see his football brilliance on full display, one more time. i haven't seen any of his posts in a while, it's been nice. but please, when he responds to this with a stupid meme he gets from facebook, don't quote it. i can only take so much brilliance at one time.

Jalen Hurd - 3 yr starter, protential 1st round draft pic, pre-season Maxwell, Doak Walker, All SEC. 80% of the offense against Appy St with a big OOC game coming up? who would have thunk it??? it's preposterous i tell ya!!! he should be no more than 43.7% of the offense. it's almost like Butch doesn't consult with Cur before the games or something. everybody knows Cur is the wizard behind the curtain of college football. he is the Guru. at least, in his mind.

SMH. So Butch goes over and tells them they played a hell of a game and you and all the so called media want to rip him for that too?

1st game of the year. They've been riding an ego trip since last years bowl win and how everyone is telling them how good they are. They thought they just had to show up and Appy would roll over. Appy came to slay another giant and almost did. Hopefully reality set in and the entire squad will realize they have to put a top tier team effort in if they're gonna be the big dog in the SEC.

They won. The team was with the band. Im sure they got chewed when they got to the locker room and probably still getting chewed. Why would it be rec league for a coach to tell the opposing team they played well?

No.... After the mid 1st qtr u could see all the flaws in all phases of their game. Dobbs still can't throw and looks like he missed tons of short easy throws.

Agrees.... I have never saw a coach do that after a game. But since it's TN then it is a good thing that other coaches should do. Saban ever do it?? Meyer?? Les?? Harbough?? Nope

Coaches dont do that? You have never seen a coach tell a player from another team that they played a good game?


Not shocking you would think sportsmanship was rec league.
