Hopefully I will get some more pics when he sheds the velvet . I just hope he doesn't go nocturnal like they tend to do after they shed it .
I agree.BSK said:I really don't feel comfortable with judging scores until the velvet comes off. Velvet adds hugely in pictures.

But in this case, I believe we're looking at a 170-plus gross set of antlers. That velvet isn't changing the tine length.

Good luck

Live weight , I'd say over 225 lbs. being a mature Midwest buck ? I need to go back through some of my older trail cam pics and see if I have any pics of him at a younger age . I'm guessing he is a 4.5 year old . Summer pics are deceiving on body size , because they look so much bigger when they get that rut swollen neck.Wes Parrish said:Radar, what do you estimate the live weight to be on this particular buck?
Early season yes , they do tend to go nocturnal though when pressured too much . The majority of my buck pics during the season are at night or just at shooting light . But I do have my cams set on the fringes near fields so I can drive up close and not disturb the area too much . This is probably more of a factor with the night time pics .BSK said:Radar,
Considering that buck is in MO, I think you have a much better chance of seeing him in daylight than if he were in TN.
