there was a hay field upstream that had apparently been flooded and there were 6 or 7 round bales scattered down the creek bottom. I saw a fair number of trucks parked by gates but I had my spot to myself.

Looking forward to the video, I caught up on your vids today , watched the scouting ones and the Bama part 1 , and the pond fishing.

I have a feeling I know that WMA you were on the first weekend , I may have been on that one this past winter cruising timber if it is the same one I'm thinking of, looked like tough hunting with the roads everywhere. Lots of hogs though

Very nice. Did you put another mark on the gun?
nah I haven't added any marks to the gun. I'd have to add marks for all the misses too. [emoji1] don't hate me for this but I think I'll eventually paint over it with my sponge camo pattern.

Well done! Those public land Alabama birds are some of the toughest I've ever hunted. I've always hunted the mid March opener and rarely did one ever want to play.

from what I've heard they are usually just barely getting fired up when season opens. Give it a couple weeks and they should be getting right

yup grew up hunting in bama down by Union Springs/Tuskegee area and early season was always SUPER tough! Good job on that one, any early season bird down there is awesome.

Congrats Cat!

Awesome video, and a nice shot :) !

BTW, in case you didn't realize it, with quality headphones and the volume up, you can hear him drumming at about the point where you first see him on camera. That's a great mic you're using.

Man, you're running with some internet celebs, and are gathering quite a following!

Here's the video link!
