Smallmouth bass (and others) creel limits changing in SE Tennessee.

I'm not a biologist, but it seems weird to me that they are changing creel limits due to hybridization of the species. I would imagine that the affects of hybridization has an extremely bigger impact on the species than creel limits ever would, meaning it wouldn't put a dent in the problem.
 
its a product of fishermen think they know more than the fisheries biologists. west ky fisheries is keeping tabs in ky lake north on northern/florida strain largemouth DNA. theyre afraid that if those two were to hybridize that far north it would have a negative impact on the LM fishery.
