Any other snub nose revolver fans? I find myself on occasion carrying a Smith 442.
The below is one of my favorite pistols though. 1947 pre model 10 S&W, 2" barrel, .38 SPCL

I enjoy carrying them on occasion. Not really the best at anything, but def have a place. I used to buy them on armslist for 400 cash all day long.
I would say for deep concealment they're pretty close to "the best". They definitely have their place.

This Model 36 is the only gun I've kept over the years. It was my first off duty gun in 1978. I still occasionally use it if I want something that's deep cover.

The second pic was my Model 66 I carried for many years. I sold it because I just carry semi autos anymore. 4,5 and 6" revolvers are my range toys now.

Concealment/back up is where they shine. I've used one in that capacity for 30+ years. The good thing about them vs the small autos, is that you are always going to get five shots. A lot of the tiny autos have functioning problems, especially when tucked away in places where they can accumulate trash.

My "woods" packer stays on my hip all deer season. That's Jerry Miculek's signature on the holster ... good mojo 😁

Kind of an odd Smith, it's a Model 69 Combat Magnum. Built on an L-frame, they had to reduce it to 5 shots to have enough steel around those 44 magnums. With magnums, it's absolutely no fun to shoot, but with my hand rolled .44 Specials with 240 hard cast, it's a real sweety.
