Tacticam trail cameras

I like my gardepros to. But they are glitchy. And the app os glitchy. And I have one that quit working hoping just batteries.
This is my first year running Gardepros and Madeise cameras. The flash range is by far the best i have seen. I do like the Tactacam app better. I haven't had any issues yet but this is year one. I have 6 Gardepro/Madeise total set out and operating.

I only have 2 gardepros and I like them. I've had a couple times the ir didn't turn on during a picture or video. And I am kind of torture testing one it's in a high traffic low service area. By and large I like them. But that one is the glitchy one. Sometimes it will send all the picture at once when I have then to be sent individually. And just little stuff like that. They take very good pictures and videos and the range is absolutely incredible. I would/will buy again those will be what replaces my cheaper cameras.

My other one in in great service area has ran flawlessly also in a high traffic area as well.

The videos through the cell app are not crisp picture is good but it's like the video is buffering a little nothing major there either I am getting 15 second videos on both.

Just stating what I've experienced. Nothing yet to make me go away from them at all fairly impressed with them especially for their price point. I like their app to it's just glitchy for me every now and then. Not many times maybe 1 or 2 times every 10ish days.

By and large, I also like the GardePros. However, I've noticed they miss things. I'll drive my ATV through the plot they are monitoring - right in front of the camera. Nothing. I'll walk past it. Nothing. Yet a still get a ton of videos. I can't figure out what the problem is. I've set the false trigger suppressor to minimum. Still missing things. I wonder if having the side sensors turned on is a problem? I'll have to experiment. That said, I will probably buy two more, so I have one monitoring each of our largest plots (the flash distance and trigger distance are both incredible).

However, I will still monitor all of the critical locations with Brownings. So far, they've been pretty fail-proof. I have had a few go bad (run-away trigger on one, bad night video imager on another, total failure on a third), but most of these are 4 years old or more, so I'm very pleased with them. Video quality is amazing and trigger speed very fast.

I have mine on to so maybe that is it. Like I said it's not enough to make me go away from them.

I trust my brownings a ton. I am switching to wise eyes and Spartans for all my other cell cameras. I have farms spread out and working on 3 other leases as of now so I don't want to fool with the issues I am having now with other brands.

Wish I'd win the lottery and I'd switch 100 percent to reconyx.

I have had 9- 8 still work. Got first ones in 2020.
I agree with much said above

Pros-

Tough
Reliable
Longetivity
Simple
Price

Cons

Photo quality
Send very few pics compared to activity in front of them
Battery life

Will replace them as they die with something else but they have worked hard for me

Well...crap. i wish i knew about tactacam missing so many pics. I have gotten tired of Meidase app glitching constantly. So, i started the switch to Tactacam. Bought several in the last few weeks. I had two in a field and they work flawlessly. I knew i got less pics in those areas than usual.. but chalked it up to not much deer movement on my lease, as this year has been terrible. What does everyone recommend in a cell cam?

Send them back. You'll get around 40% off on each of them to replace. I think I have a new HP5 that is doing the same thing, and it's one I just got that replaced another one that went bad

Tactacam has some of the nicest folks in their customer service. Real live Americans . Just talked with a super nice lady. No regrets and I have a couple dozen up and running as of now.

Glad to hear it. I got to mulling it over in my brain. I've got two Tactacams out. Every deer i saw while hunting, ive gotten pictures of. Customer service is too notch. Watched several "Trail Camera comparisons" on YouTube..they all give the Tactacams high marks. I'm going to stick with them for now. Thanks for your post.

I've been through more Spypoints than I can count, 2 tactacams, and 1 Moultrie.
Currently have 4 Spartans and 1 SPYPOINT. Have had no issues with Spartan yet!
