Taggart to FSU

Well they are going to a bowl game this year.

They were ranked 8th last year to going unranked this year. Hard to argue they had a pretty tough schedule. I'm not thrilled by the Taggart hire myself .

Taggart is definitely making a big media splash despite his less than mediocre record. It's only cause the school he was hired at I assume, not because of his coaching prowess.

Teams realize that he is a good coach and recruiter and just had some bad schools where he started at. Cleaned them up and is on the rise.
 
Looks like Oregon is keeping it's top 4 assistants.... Those four are great recruiters as well. Glad they didn't travel with Willie to Tally. Mario is one reason that Oregon has a great class. Taggart is a good recruiter but Cristobal staying at Oregon is HUGE

I know they do but not getting Cristabol is big. Can't blame him for staying and getting the HC gig at Oregon though
 
He was big also... But imo Mario is the biggest. He was great while at Miam and then went to Bama and was killing it. The. Oregon where they are top 5 now.
 
That's why I kept saying I hope Taggart didn't end up at FSU. But not getting his assistants hurts him a lot. But he will hire some good ones and the recruits will keep coming.
 
But Taggart will do great there imo. Would have been even better with his assistants he took to Oregon. But he is well liked and well respected. May take a year to get it going but he will do better than most think in year one.
