The Jennings catch was great. The Barnett sack and Vereen TD was great but the more I have thought about it, Lovingoods play was the game changer. If he hadnt caught that and downed it where he did, it would have been a TB and the sack fumble score to take the lead wouldnt have happened.

I agree that it was huge, but to me the 15 yd penalty on them after their score and the 5 yd offsides on the kickoff were the game changers.

They definately helped.

if you told me in july vols would be 5-0 and hurd have only 1 100 yard rushing game i wouldn't have believed ya

Me neither.
if you was To Tell me They would not have Kirkland, sutton, or maybin. For UF or UGA . Hurd will only have 1 100 yard game, but the vols would be 5-0 I would have laughed.

Even if ugly pretty happy with season so far, been real fun To watch.

No doubt about it! Now if the vols can play to their potential the rest of the season, AND keep up the luck, national champions!

Don't get carried away... Lol

But I like the sounds of that!

But reality is the next 2 games will be tough and will require some more of that luck and both will require 4 quarters of play and not a half. We can't spot a&m and Bama a half and expect to win

Hey TN was supposed to go 0-4 in this stretch starting with UF according to some. As of now the worst we could do is 2-2. Game on.

x2 The Vols could VERY easily be 2-3, or even 1-4 at this point without some of the breaks they have gotten (created). I think they are capable of giving both Bama and TAM a decent game if they play their second half game for 60 minutes. I also think they are capable of losing any of the four "easy" SEC games at the end of their schedule. If they keep on digging themselves a first half hole, it will come back to bite them.

But, with that being said, I'll sit back and enjoy their first 5-0 start in a long time.

At the end of the day, UT's best team of the last 8-9 years needed a miracle to beat a rebuilding team full of freshmen.........interesting

Historically, the TN GA game is always close. Look at the overall record. 23-21-2. The last 7 or 8 games have been decided by 7 points or less. It was going to be a close game regardless. Why do you think the point spread was what it was.

Nice try though. :tu:

not "trying" anything. is this not the vols best team since what....2006?

Right, right. If you watch and follow as much football as you say you do, you already knew that game is and has been a close game. I guess the rebuilding team full of freshman bit was you not "trying" anything.

This has been the best start for a TN team in a long time. They have done some amazing things this year but honestly, I take last years team with the determination to win of this years team.

Miracle or not 2-2 is where the vols needed to be in this rough stretch, and that is the worst they gonna do.

It was not long ago Auburn needed a freak last second play against Georgia that should have never been a TD to win & a last second 100 yard missed FG return to beat Bama to keep there hopes alive

Yea I do remember all the 7-5, 8-4 and even 6-6 predictions.

also remember the 0-4 through that stretch & the Florida streak staying alive predictions also.

Everyone keeps saying Tennessee is lucky, they haven't played anyone and they do not deserve to be where they are. Can anyone show us a current unbeaten team that has played 5 BCS teams, all 5 went to a bowl game last year, all 5 now have winning records, 2 were ranked and 2 currently ranked, 3 against power 5 teams, 2 division rivals, and 1 they had not beaten in the last 11 tries. People can say what they want, and Tennessee may lose their next 2 games (maybe, and hopefully not); however right now no one was played what Tennessee has played (sure several have played a very tough game maybe 2, but show me 5 that are better). :super:
