The SEC showed it is the best conference on Saturday

SEC conference schedule is overrated. Bob Stoops was right about that. Top-heavy conference.

You never replied to my post

Trey, ND has the luxury of not needing to join a conference. The program makes more money being independent and it provides the flexibility to schedule different opponents from year to year, although we now have a commitment to play at least 5 ACC teams a year.

Personally, I would like to see ND join the ACC for football, but the University and most of the alumni are not interested in doing that.

I think the play off system will force them into a conference if they ever want a chance at a National Championship. It will be hard to beat out four other schools that are conference champions for a spot if you don't even play a conference championship game.

Why decide to play 5 ACC teams? Why not play 5 SEC teams?

Because ND is in the ACC for all sports except football and hockey and agreeing to play 5 ACC teams in football was part of the deal.

Yea, Vandy and KY need another team on their level to make more of their SEC games interesting.

Sarcasm needs some truth to be funny. How quickly some forget ND's victory over LSU back in December. [emoji41]

Yea LSU had one of their worst years in well over a decade. They had 4 loses prior to the ND loss. Congrats you to ND for catching LSU in a bad year.

And someone forgot about the pounding ND took from Bama a few short years ago. Mantei and his GF included. :rotf:

That was a joke... But u are just glad OSU finally beat a SEC in a bowl game.

10 teams in the top 25 sums it up.

That doesn't make sense to some. They know they have cupcakes all year!
