After watching SEC now this morning with 2 of the 3 ranking Bama ABOVE TN (makes perfect sense  ) , we're just going to have to take care of it on the field and win out to have any hope of getting into the playoff.

Of course, if we do win out, but then lose to TX in the SEC champ game, I have no doubt that we'd be left out of the playoff as crazy as that sounds.

Anyway. IF Nico plays, I think we can score enough to win the game. Hope our D can create some turnovers.

Was never a doubt in my mind if Bama won out they'd jump us. We can thank our pitiful first half offensive performance against them for not making the victory look more decisive. Beating them by 21 would have made it a lot tougher for the committee to put Bama above us. Georgia is on the ropes so just gonna have to man up and go win a football game now.

I think Tn handles Georgia as long as pick off Beck is at the helm. Dude literally plays for Georgia through the week then the opponent every Saturday

Yea, TN schedule is far from weak as I see several SEC teams on it. And several WERE ranked, until TN beat them. Still a pretty impressive schedule IMO.
Going by rankings at the time the game was played can be very misleading. Most of the teams UT has played up to now are in the bottom of their conferences. All SEC games can be tough; especially on the road so the schedule is not entirely weak but I'd say it is somewhat weak. UT has played six SEC teams; 5 of those are in the bottom six of the conference.

That shows preseason and remaining. Here is one that shows strength of schedule for up-to-now as well one for remaining.

Tennessee is ranked 60 in games remaining (seems a little low with UGA and Vandy remaining) and ranked 46 in games played to date. Lower SEC teams mean something compared to so many other conferences.

Their only ranked opponent win as been Bama.

Was Bama a tough team?

There is no LOGICAL explanation for having Bama ahead of TN at this point, and it was only talking heads doing it. The committee will see things differently I'm sure.

But, but, TN lost to Arkansas. True, but that pesky Vandy loss is still on Bama's resume. It's like it didn't happen. I'll stand by my assessment that LSU was over-rated.

But, GA played great at TX when their backs were against the wall, so they'll probably do the same Saturday night. I just hope we can make it look respectable.

The Gumps couldn't beat the Vols on the field so now the the Bandwagon Nation trolls are trying to bash the Vols on their strength of schedule. Is that not the very definition of grasping at straws? I love it. Let's not forget it's been 387 days since the Crimson Turds have defeated the Vols in football. Let's also not forget that the Vols control their own destiny in the SEC Championship race. Eat 💩 Bandwagon Nation Trolls!

Try to have a football discussion and the name calling starts.
There are 2 alabama fans that come here for football discussions: Bamamonts and Day Day. The rest of you are here for one reason and one reason only: to troll Tennessee fans. You sound like PillsburyDipshit. He trolls and trolls and trolls and when someone calls him out he starts crying that he's the victim. GTFOH with that 💩

Have a hard time believing Georgia will drop 2 in a row, especially with this game being in Athens. Georgia is the more talented team from a roster standpoint and TN has yet to prove they can win away from Neyland, against decent competition, with Iamaleava at the helm.
