That's a lie. Two (Landers Nolley and Tyler Harris) tested positive and several others had been in close contact. Memphis only had 4 players cleared to play.
having said that,Penny was at least irresponsible for not requiring more players to be vaccinated. i Think UT only has 2 players not vaccinated.

$30k is nothing for UT. Having said that, $30k for a 200 mile trip, in state, shows they travel in luxury. Make them take a bus and stay in a red roof inn.

This is an unsustainable practice, both at the College and Pro level and all sports). I've been saying since Summer 2020 that we can't keep treating players like they have Tuberculous. Stop testing unless a player has symptoms. Otherwise let them play.
Treat them like they have the flu. We don't test for the flu multiple times a week and before each game.
College and professional athletes are typically very healthy and young. The chance of them getting very sick from any virus is minimal.
