Tndeer Trail cam photo contest

How about we do five categories with an IR and color version of both.
1.) "Monster Buck"-Not necessarily the biggest buck, could just be an awesome rack or a buck that is just plain BA
2.) "Pure Awesomeness"-Could be anything that is unordinarily cool like a hawk attacking a mouse
3.) "Dime a Dozen"-most deer in one pic
4.) "Picture Perfect"-Prettiest pictue (a fawn, deer by a waterfall, whatever)
5.) "wait....Wuhhht??"-craziest/funniest pic (i.e. two bucks doing the hibbittydibbitty or your wife sneaking around with another guy in the woods.. kidding about the second one lol keep it PG

I also like the pre-in season-post idea.

Great Idea! If everyone is ok with this lets start a sign up page! Who wants to be a judge???
 
Just keep me updated Chief as to what you need me to do. I think with the cameras and equipment I have access to I would be at a unfair advantage competing in these contests. I am better used as a judge in my opinion. Glad I can help.

BSK would be a good judge. He may be too busy though.

Judges can just score from 1-100 on how well they feel the pic fits into its submitted category.

Next step is dates for the pre-season contest. I think the contest should start July 1. This gives everyone plenty of time to sign up. If thats good with y'all the official signup thread needs to be posted ASAP. We can post an entry thread with all of the rules later.

I talked to a moderator and they said it would be a hastle for them to add a poll. I can see why it would since we already have 27 registered.

Thanks for that. One other clarification, can a color photo be entered into multiple categories (will each photo be judged based on each category) or only a single category of the entrant's choice?

When entering your photo you will use this format
Category-Color
Sub-category-Monster Buck
[pic]

The picture will only be judged on how well it fits into the chosen category.

I may only enter two photos, one for each category, IR and color. What about sub-categories? can I enter one for each sub-category?

No, you can enter a total of two pictures. One must be color and the other IR. You can enter your color picture into any of the five sub-categories, the same goes for IR.

ok. What if you get better pics further along in the summer ? can you post a new one to override your previous entry?
