You considered a forestry mulcher?

Too expensive, too slow, and most of my timber cuts were on the steepest hillsides. Plus, I don't want everything chopped to the ground. Want a very healthy stand of tall grass, blackberry, herbaceous weeds, etc. A little chemical will go a long way in those environments. I really just want to prevent hardwood saplings from reclaiming pockets of the cut areas.
