Can you post a pic of a ned rig or shaky head? I see how some people rig them but I've never tried either.

Shaky head shaky head shaky head. Oh did I say shaky head?

If you think a shaky head is good try a Ned rig!

the Ned rig is quickly becoming my favorite bait

Mine too, it's amazing how many fish it catches, smallmouth especially.

the z-man elaztech worms are the best finesse baits. the buoyancy keeps the tail up and head down. ned rig is a great bait when nothing is biting. 6lb poly on a 6'6" med spinning reel. i keep it on the boat year round

You guys sold me on the Ned Rig. I bought some 1/10 ounce mushroom heads and green pumpkin Senkos today. Already got one rigged on my 7' Falcon Jason Christie Finesse Rod to try this afternoon. The lake I live on has a lot of grass and moss right now so it's not an ideal testing ground but I gotta try it.

1. Texas rigged black/red flake worm. 2. Carolina or Texas rigged watermelon red baby brush hog. 3. Football jig with green pumpkin ultravibe speed crawl. 4.buzz bait black. 5.spinner bait.

I'm more of a creek fisherman but let me think of 5...

Zoom lizard
Zoom fat Albert
Zoom super fluke (weightless)
Whopper plopper
Zoom trick worm

Soft plastics would be rigged on a jig head, wide gap with split shot (Carolina) or wide gap with bullet weight.

Top 5 soft plastic colors would be

green pumpkin
Watermelon seed
Watermelon red flake
Junebug
White ice or pearl for the flukes

Whopper plopper
I don't know what this is, but the name alone should put it on my top 5 list.
It's top water that displaces a ton of water. It's similar to a buzz bait but make a plopping sound as you retrieve. You can fish it like a buzz bait or like a pop r or prop bait.

Can't go wrong with green pumpkin. It's one of my favorites. If you get a chance sometime try green pumpkin magic. It's basically the exact same as green pumpkin but with a gold flake mixed in. It's deadly. If I had to name my top 5 colors it would be as follows.

Green pumpkin magic
June bug
Watermelon red
Plum
California 420

I have a pack of ultravibe speed craws in green pumpkin magic. Any variation of green pumpkin is good

I mainly fish for trout/panfish, but catch the occasional bass. So my lure choice might be a little different.

2 in curly tail grub on 1/16 oz jig head
1/16 oz roostertail
Strike King bitsy pond minnow
spinnerbait (bass)
crankbait (bass)
