I've decided to build a few tower stands on the property once this upcoming season is over and am looking around for ideas as to how and what I'm going to build. Id love to see pictures of yall's stands that yall have built just for reference and/or things that you would change and avoid after the fact.

I built this one, and I have taken half of it apart and redone it multiple times. Probably 4 times. Get your windows at the right height. Buying a condo would have been much less time consuming and probably cheaper

I've thought about it but I really enjoy doing stuff myself and building things the way I want it. You are right though.... a lot more cost effective

A good rule of thumb is to make your doorway at least 6" wider than your shoulders. Do not consider a trapdoor.
Besides being really noisy, its really awkward getting in and out. If you don't have a front end loader, build it in sections where you can assemble it once the base is up

It's amazing that me, being from West Virginia, have never seen a 2-story outhouse 😄 Seriously, that looks nice.

I don't have pictures of ours. We bought a few and built a few. You can dang near buy one for what a nice cost to build. But you can build them cheap if wanted. But we have put the last few on trailers. Highly recommend.

We built 2 4x8s this year mainly for when my son will start hunting with me. Used tinted deer view windows. My buddy is sitting next to my son in the first pic so deer really can't see you in there. They are legit. Will need to build two more for two fields we cut out on other props of ours. This is in South bama.

These are 2 I built. I also have 2 sportsman condos. I definitely recommend the sportsman condos for ease of setup and maintenance free

I'm no carpenter but I built three of these. Two are 4x4 and one is 4x5. Simple 2x4 contruction with OSB/camo sides. Built them and put them up myself.
One one of them I was built in pieces and assembled onsite. The other two were built and just moved and raised onsite.

What do you think is optimal height from floor to shooting rail at bottom of window. A good compromise so kids can shoot too?
