Traditions strikerfire

I have a Traditions strikerfire ultralight and went to shoot it today but had some issues with the striker slide not wanting to engage or stay. Any idea what would cause that?

I have had that issue with mine several times. Several times opening and closing and working it, seems to solve it. It does make me worry about carrying it much so honestly I use the CVA a lot more.
