Turkey Gun Opinion On 20 Gauge!

500, pumps work, they are safer, any part can be replaced yourself, top safety, nearly indestructible. Double extractors, the action can be timed and tuned to perfection, they are light and handy. They take the most popular choke tube system, gillions of tubes are made for them. 11 million owners can't be wrong, it truly is one of the best machines of any kind ever built.
Plus if some jerk steals it outta your truck cry 5 min and go buy another one.

I have hunted with and patterned both, they both will throw some awesome patterns . I used Carlson 575 non ported turkey choke in both. You can't go wrong either way but I prefer the Stoeger as it feels great in your hands and I like the inertia driven semi guns over a pump. Just a matter of preference .

Stoeger wins in the opinion of most of you!!I have had 2 Mossberg turkey guns and I liked them except for the bad recoil!!Still reading up on each!!Thanks for your opinions!

With a 20 there is no recoil problem, i have a semi tri star 20 and the mossy 20 pictured above. I wouldnt give a wooden nickel between em for turkey hunting, both are light , pattern great, and one shot is generally all thats needed. I just love the old school greenleaf on the mossberg i have😂😂

The 500 is as bullet proof a weapon as you'll ever find. I had one with a Trulock Pinhoti choke that threw a beautiful pattern and I actually prefer the tang safety on a turkey gun over any other type of safety. I sold it on here for no reason other than I simply wanted to try something new.
