So, my wife comes home from work with one of these for me tonight. I've never been a vest guy, but this thing is pretty sweet. I think to myself, "what have I done to deserve this?" Four things come to mind;

A. Last week I told her that after At Hiker and I kill our limit in TN, we're going to hop in the car and travel cross country leaving a wake of dead turkeys in our tracks. Once we reach the Bighorns where we're going to hunt mule deer and elk this fall, we're going to pack in and scout a few days. Then we're going to head home through different states, killing all their turkeys also.

My wife has always been supportive of my hunting and I like to think she bought me this vest to make my trip as successful as possible.

B. She heard that I was headed across the country hunting turkeys and she wants me gone, therefore she'll do anything possible to make me gone for as long as possible.

C. I've been a really good boy and she bought it for me as a reward.

D. She's about to announce to me what her vacation plans for the year are going to be. We both take several trips independent from each other every year in addition to our trips together. I try not to look at our accounts immediately before or after any trips, but she may be buttering me up for a real hit on the wallet.

I think you guys are right. This one may hurt. We were in the kitchen making dinner tonight and she starts asking what all the pockets are for. I tell her, 2 slate calls, box call, etc. Then state that I'll look pretty stupid wearing around an empty turkey vest because all I've used for the last decade are mouth calls and probably couldn't find my other calls if I had too. Her response, "lets go to bass pro and you can fill that vest up". I'm screwed.
