UT's next coach......

I'm sure everyone has seen that Mississippi State is hiring a coach with a Penn State association whose only college head coaching experience is the HC for Fordham. Fordham? A Northeast Yankee in Starkville? Oh that's right. Mullen was also a Yankee. I think the Bulldogs made a wise decision. They got a good one who will have that team flying with all the talent Mullen has left for him.

I don't know the time frame for Moorhead (sp?) at Ped State. Was he there when the child rape was going on? If not, that is sort of an apples to oranges argument. I think he probably was a great hire for MSU.

What your point? A Yankee coaching in the South?

Morehead arrived at Penn St. about 4 years after the trial.

Just cruising around the boards the MSU peeps seem to be embracing him with open arms .

Heads will Spin if Moorhead sees some success at Mississippi State and some others don't. Ditto if Schiano lands a gig and he does well.

Are any other schools dumb enough to consider Schiano?

IDK . The temper tantrum heard around the world is no doubt going to be a consideration on any future hire for Schiano. Which is one reason legal experts have weighed in that he may have some cause to seek action . Remains to be seen .

Regardless I see him landing a HC job down the road . It may not be this season or the next . Who knows . I would love to see him get one though and have a winning season .

Please educate everyone. What is your proof that Schiano was "connected to a child rape cover-up"? Is it the same third hand hearsay in a 2015 insurance lawsuit deposition where the deponent said another coach said to him in 2001 what Schiano said to him in 1992? If it's some new evidence you've discovered, by all means call Louis Freeh, the Pennsylvania Attorney General, and the State College, PA district attorney first. Do you even know the purpose for a deposition? Leave the practice of law to me and I'll leave weather forecasting to you.

He is connected through that deposition you cited. It may not be true, but it is a connection period. Think of it this way, if a daycare had a worker accused of molesting children, and that worker was prosecuted. If there were allegations that other workers might have knew of the molestation, even with no solid proof, would you send your children to the daycare where the alleged workers were employed?

Right/wrong/fair or unfair Schiano is connected to a child rape cover-up. (he also isn't qualified to be a major school Div 1 Head Coach)

Well said....

Malzhan was coaching HS and landed at Arkansas St for a year then was OC at Auburn for a two years then became HC coach. First year almost won a NC. So don't get fooled by Chad Morris being a HIgh School coach in 2010. He is a great offensive mind. Similar to Frost and Norvell.

And Chad was the OC for Clemson as well... SAME path that Gus took. :smash:

Espn guy on Finebaum just now saying Hoke may get a more serious look now.

No way that happens.

you hate the vols more than you like the gators

I know they are eating this up, I guess I can't blame them. If this mess was Florida, I would be giddy too.

Somebodies got to step up and take the job. Now they are mentioning Lane Kiffin. This is getting bizarre.

I would welcome him back and sleep well at night after all this drama

Kiff apologized today on national radio for the way he left UT. I would have taken him back before that.

I'm not eating it up... just talking about the coaching carousel. Every fan base talks about every fan base.

How crazy would that be if he ended back at TN. After all the burning the couches and stuff. He would be better fit than the last two coaches mentioned. Imo
