I recommend getting the rolls and custom-cutting your bags to the size of the job, instead of getting the pre-cut bags. Doing the math, it was a lot cheaper, plus you get the added benefit of being able to make an oversize bag for "custom" jobs such as oversize fillets, or if you just want to freeze a whole bunch at one time.

I got a Foodsaver brand one for Christmas a few years ago. It's OK, but I'll probably get something with a stronger pump next time for bigger jobs.
