Vandy QB will play another year!

Pavia was granted an injunction. The lawsuit is still pending. I won't be surprised if he wins it in the end and JUCO players at the very least get to have their years of eligibility bumped up.

Eh, I'll like watching what the kid can do with another year. The rules we've known for years are out the window. NCAA is a crap show now. The president was in front of Congress this week talking about women being responsible for their own safety in locker rooms with men. No surprise things are off the rails when that's your leadership. Happy for Pavia though. Lil scrapper worked his butt off to finally get his shot. Glad it's working out for him.

Football is really just official minor leagues for football with a university affiliation. The educational side is basically a footnote at this point. It's not as much student athletes as it is athlete students.

What a joke.

The next idiot ruling will probably be to let players stay and play as long as they want to.
I agree. He's played his 4 years and although it's not a final decision yet don't think he should get it. 4 years is 4 years. He knows he probably won't get drafted so if he can stick around another year and get big NIL why not. I don't blame him for that but still think it should be denied.

No you don't. 😄

NCAA appeals Diego Pavia lawsuit; grants eligibility waiver for JUCO players

That doesn't make sense.

They want to grant the waiver to all JUCO players, but they will appeal Pavia? But hey, it's the NCAA, so it makes perfect sense.

I think the reason may be to stop any other lawsuits at the moment and since they have to let Pavia play, it should apply to all others in the same situation. If the appeal goes through, then the NCAA can back off on the ruling for the future. If the appeal fails (likely), then the new rule continues.
