Never done this before so I ordered some velvalok and sure enough it worked.

I'd like to know more about what you did. Did you use the velvalok, and then boil it? What did you cover the antlers with if you boiled? It looks like painter's tape and aluminum foil.

I have always done our euros but having my son's velvet buck from last year done by a taxidermist friend. This looks like a good option to do it myself.

I thawed it then applied velvalok let dry in sunlight for 72 hours then cut as much as you can so it shortens boil time. I wrapped with cellophane then painters tape then aluminum foil and painters tape and two grocery bags over each main beam end to keep steam from curling velvet
