Didn't hear a gobble, but this was fun. I had cackled, and one of the hens (down the ridge that I had no idea was around) went nuts and cackled right back at me, and started cutting.
They had toned it down some by the time I got the camera out and they came to me, but there are some yelps, a few slight kee-kees, and then a LOT of cutts/clucks/purrs. One of them circled me after I cackled at them when they were in my lap, and came over my left shoulder trying to find me.
Once I saw that there was no gobbler trailing behind the three of them, I just sat back and enjoyed interacting with them.
