So how good is your team going to be? Or is it just the Vols that have high hopes for their team every year?
from what I've seen on here Florida is gonna go 10-2 and win the east. I have even seen licks posted about them having title shots :) of course bama fans think they gonna win title every year, but who can blame them. Of course the Noter Dame fans, FSU and Ohio State fans on here have high hopes as well. We have heard the don't sleep on Georgia/Georgia will beat UT/ Georgia is a sleeper for the east stuff as well. So no its not just vol fans it never is :tu:

I said 9-3 but will beat TN...
Sounds about right the 9-3 part anyways besides Tennessee on the road, LSU, and FSU on the road. Florida's schedule is pretty easy looking.

You go UMass at home, Kentucky at home, North Texas at home! To start the year lol

Vandy, Missouri at home, Georgia in Jacksonville, Arkansas, an easy South Carolina at home, and Presbyterian BLUE horse at home.

Tennessee's schedule is also not to bad. They still have maybe the toughest 4 week stretch in the SEC with out a week off.Florida, Georgia on the road, A&M on the road, only to come home and face bama.

I have Florida at 8-4 . best case 9-3, worst case if healthy 7-5.

I think they go 1-2 against UT,LSU,and fsu. best case scenario they go 2-1 worst case 0-3

I think they go 2-1 against Gerogia,Missouri, and Arkansas. possibly 1-2 worst case. I don't think they win all 3.

Tennessee I think they split that tough 4 week stretch to go 10-2, worst case they go 1-3 over them 4 games to go 9-3. I don't think they drop 4 straight games and go 8-4 they should beat everyone else outside them four games. if Tennessee drops 4 games in a row they should fire CBJ.

You know how I hate TN but I think they can go 9-3 at best but I say 8-4... Don't know if Butch can handle the hype. Not the players but Butch. After the UF loss he will be coaching scared IMO bcse that's the win the TN fans need!!! Could be interesting season.

I think 9-3 would be a safe bet for UT. I think if they got beat by Florida they still beat Georgia or A&M to go 9-3

If they beat UF which is very possible in Knoxville i mean the streak has to end at some point lol they go 10-2.

If they drop all 4 CBJ should be fired.

I don't see Virginia or Missouri at home or Kentucky at home beating UT.

There season rides on them 4 games. CBJ needs to go 2-2 during that stretch. Don't really matter which 2 or by how much.

They had 10 wins with a first year coach and a backup QB half the season. Will be a better team this season.

I think Vols will be 10-2, or better. Janzeck cost us the game in florida big time. Thats why he is gone. Shoop should be big improvement

I think, and hope Butch is over the scared coaching calls, still remember 4th at the 1 foot line, kicking field goal

No one really knows if Shoop will be a big improvement. He's coaching in a different conference with players that he didn't recruit for his system.

Muschamp, one of the best defensive coordinators in college was supposed to be a big improvement at AU. He bombed because the personel didn't match his system.

Time will tell and none up us really know. It could be a great hire or bomb out.

Does this "better" team match the 10 win regular season last year?

Wrong! He was coach at Vandy with a top 25 defense, several players at UT he recruited. He is very impressed with our D, it appears we will have great defense if theres no major injuries, Kongbo looks to be a big piece, the no 1 jr transfer

Shoop is a home run hire, and opposing teams know it. If he does what is expected, he will probably only be here a couple of years before becoming a head coach.

Butch really lucked out that Jancek basically fired himself, because I don't see him having made that change of his own free will.

Shoop coached in the SEC east in the state of Tennessee for 3 years lol he recruited a few players at vandy that now play for UT. Shoop will be good as always, and will have are defense playing nasty.

I don't think anyone is worried about Tennessee's defense not playing well.

Its the same questions as the last 2 years....

Can the OLine play well from start to finish,Can they stay healthy, And can Dobbs, and the WRs do anything at all through the air.

There's no such thing as a home run hire when a coach is changing teams. Kiffin was a home run hire for USC, Ed Orgeron - Ole Miss, Bill Callahan - Nebraska, Muschamp - Florida, and about 10 ND coaches.... lol

Shoop hasn't coached at Vandy for 3 years and he doesn't have James Franklin holding his hand anymore. Just like Roper didn't have Cutt holding his hand anymore when he went to UF as the OC. That home run, can't miss hire sure sure did bomb, in just one season.... :)

I'm not going to waste a lot of time trying to get the home town crowd to understand that there's no such thing as a home run hire. If you don't believe me, ask the the Dolphins about Saban. The same crowd has been guaranteeing a win over UF the last 11 years. . Like I stated, none of us really know how this hire will really turn out. We are all just guessing... :)

Espn ranked him #1 coordinate hire, so

Muschamp once held that title. Coach in waiting at Texas.... Ask UF and AU how that worked out.... :tu:

You guys are missing my point. He could either be really good, average, or not very good. There's no guarantees when a coach changes teams.
