Well, it’s official…..

In the early years of restoration, when turkeys got to huntable numbers, I hoped there would never come the day when some measurable "score" would be created for them like deer. But of course it did.
The more I see this crap, the more I feel ashamed and want to have no connection with hunting if this is what it's come to. It's becoming indefensible.

That's exactly it. That's what got to me. It's why even when I could have went, I didn't.

When any type of competition/ profit involving hunting or fishing rears its disgusting head its best to condemn the hell out of it. Period. It's no different than market hunting where dead game becomes a product for sale.

He hasn't posted this year's "hunt". This is from last year. Really not a fan. They show zero respect for these birds. Makes me ill watching it, probably because I have had conversations with these gobblers and know where they are sitting when they pull the trigger.

Dang. Those 2 could grin down a possum!

Unfortunately, that is exactly what has happened with the utubers. Personal profit at the expense of the game. Kill as fast as you can in one state, so you can rinse and repeat for more content, more views, and more $$$ in another state.

The epitome....

Blurb came up on my Facebook feed where the Bone Collector crew killed a single season slam in just a little over 10 hours. 4 birds in 4 states in 10 hours. Yes, there was a private jet involved.

Kill, kill, kill... that is what turkey hunting has become for so many

I tell u what, mark my word. When the urban left takes up the anti hunting cause as the hip new thing we're done. They will have years of ad ready material provided by their tech company friends that these aholes have made. It will be a cakewalk for them, hunting will be severely restricted or outlawed, then that accomplished and out of style fishing will be the the next crusade.

But he was and it was ILLEGAL! Thats why the law stands at one a day , so if he hadnt set out ILLEGALLY that afternoon the bird would still be there for another day!
So why is it illegal to kill two in one day? If you can kill 2 in a 12 hr window. What makes the difference ?
If you were a state biologist whose job it was to set season limits and days, why would you not say limit two per season can kill both in one day if you so choose? Purely asking a question.
Same that goes for deer. If a legal hunter wants to "tag out" then why can't he/she in one day? Not saying you, me, or the other couple thousand folks on here would or would want to. However, if the opportunity arose and it was legal.

I think it intentionally adds a layer of difficulty to killing more than one bird—forces a hunter to have to put it all together again.

Regulations sometimes advantage the animal, to make harvest less likely. Not just setting the allowable number to kill.

Killing two in one day violates that purpose.

Makes sense

I watched about a minute of that video and turned it off. I can't bring myself to watch most of the YouTube stuff. I watch a little catman and @30-06 type of guy videos when I see them posted but that's it.

It's all about likes and clicks, which I give it to them that's how they make money off of social media. That stuff just isn't for me.

Another possibility...

Maybe Tyler didn't shoot 2, maybe his buddy Aaron Pnut shot 1 and Tyler shot 1 and they left?

I didn't watch it all but sped through on glimpses. One spot I stopped on is when the camera dude was walking behind the front guy and front guy was carrying his gun pointed backwards right at camera dude. That's a hard no for me.

That's exactly why.

More than one gobbler come in together a lot. Allowing only one gives the other one a chance to live for another day and hunt.

TURN HIM IN!! I can't stand liars and thieves and that's exactly what poachers are. People who are in favor of bending the rules are poachers too. Not "everybody else" is or would do the same thing. We all go through the same phases as hunters but just because you want to kill something/anything doesn't make it right to break the law for any reason. As you said, all wildlife is majestic and deserves to be treated with dignity (I'm too old to care if that statement makes me sound like a member of PITA(sic). I'm at the point in my life where I really don't enjoy the killing part but have no problem with someone who does as long as they do it legally, ethically, and respectfully ) .

I can't find the video from this year anywhere.
He must have found out you were onto him and taken it down.

Younggun308 answered it perfectly, 1 a day two a season is for the animal! Its the best law they have to give male species a chance in my opinion!

I feel the same way, just wasn't sure it would be worth it after the fact and it being hearsay. I will be keeping an eye out next year on opening day for sure.
You certainly can tell your neighbor he illegally killed a turkey . He may not give him permission anymore. . You could at least do that !! Tell them whole story just as you've told us.
