In 2005 I was at Bass Pro and they had a sale on a Remington 597 with a factory scope. It was like $150, maybe less. When I told them I would take one they said they were out of the model with a scope from the factory but would put a Redhead scope on it for the same price.
It had some feeding issues in the beginning, but man that thing was crazy accurate. I didn't shoot it much over about 30-50 yards, but just constant dime sized groups. I've had .22's at far more cost that couldn't do that.
