In a river hopefully!
36 reds, 5 jacks, 3 trout, 6 flounder

Had to keep 2 reds because of hook too deep and bleeding. Dolphins strand feeding across from us

Wow, what a day! Bet yall were cussing the Jacks.

Dolphins feeding on mullet or menhaden?

Jigs or live bait?
Actually I think Jacks are fun.

We couldn't tell. As long as they are not killing the reds which is their number one food source.

Actually better fish were on a lead jig head with a mudminnow drug along the bottom. We did catch about a third of them on either a Slam Shady or a white Gulp with a chartreuse tail. I wish I had brought my flyrod.

For all of you not familiar with flats…..all that brown is a flat that appears at low tide. Better know where you are going or you are going or you are sitting until the tide comes back in.

slaughtered flounder at Calcasieu using small floating Rapalas with a sinker on a short dropper about a foot in front of the plug to keep it in front of them. fished it like a plastic worm and they wore it out...
