What did you do today in the reloading room?

The factory ELD-Ms also shot lights out, so well in fact that it was hard to justify hand loading them instead of buying factory, but still had better consistency with the hands loads.
Agreed the factory loads are crazy accurate.
looking forward to stretching the 6.5 and 280 out this spring as I'll be joining a range that goes out to 1000.

Ahhhh...finally. I got to do a little brass prep at the bench last evening. Prepped 100 6.5 CM cases from the takedown order I got a while back. Pushed the neck mandrel thru just to ensure concentricity, chamfered inside and out and they are now ready to load.
Did the mandrel give much resistance?

After recent questions answered I decided to load some 6.5cm
H4350 with 140 eld-m's
lapua sm primer brass cci 450 primer
15 of 41.5gn
10 of 42gn
Hornady brass cci 400 primer
15 of 41.5gn
10 of 42gn
All set to 2.803 coal

I've got my components lined up to load some Berger 140 VLD's over RL16 in Lapua SRP pocket brass as well. I have to come up with a load for my 6.5 CM that doesn't have a brake to be able to compete in the Chattanooga Rifle Club comps. It was unclear if I could use my RPR with the brake, so I'm just going to set up another rifle for their comps. :)

I loaded .357s for target shooting , with H-P 38 and lead bullets. Duplicated a 38 + load. Shot great last night at my gun clubs indoor range. With my Ruger G-P 100 6 in. barrel, ultradot 4-dot scope ,with the wolf trigger and spring kit.

I made some 350 Remington Magnum brass from 7MM Remington Magnum. A rather time consuming task. It worked well. The Redding form and trim die is a marvelous tool. Bullets loaded up nicely and the rounds feed good through my old Remington 600. The 250 grain loads will let you know you are shooting a magnum.
The next project is 444 Marlin ammo.

Checked some of the take down 6.5 CM Hornady cases to the shoulder to see how they compared to my fire formed cases. Very close. I then proceeded to load 15 rounds up with my go to load (44.5 gr Superformance under 140 gr ELD-Ms) to see how they perform. Now for the wind to die down and the rain to stop all in the same day, might be necks year before I can test then out. 😒

I've been tumbling some brass the last couple days. Shot about 50 .45 ACP and about 75 .38 Special Yesterday. Made a aluminum loading block one day last week.
