Yeah, but when he gets a 140 moving better than the factory ammo it will be around 2750-2800 at the muzzle and still in the 2650 range at 100. I'm mainly giving him a hard time though.

Opened a box looking for mags, was instead about 125 pieces of once fired 243 brass. Have another container of 243 brass about 130 pieces mostly Remington. Will get started on processing those soon.
Found the mags I was looking for on the same shelf in another same size box.

I've got loads using 153 gr A-Tips that are moving that fast at the muzzle.

Resized about 250 or so 243 cases, have them in the wet tumbler with pins right now.

Went to MSSA and Fired coupla hundred 9's, about 100 or so 223 and helped a fellow new to gun ownership sight in his 06. Found something wrong with a Weaver Scope, back to the bench for this one.
Fact to Note: ground was covered with 223 brass. So thick I had to sweep it was unsafe to walk. Definitely lake city stuff. OTOH not a single piece of 9 brass was on the ground.

Prepped and primed 40 pieces of mixed brass 30-30 tonight. I dont even have a 30-30 right now, but a good friends grandson got one for Christmas and needs some ammo. I have some 170gr Interlocks, now to decide on powder. I have Hodgdon Leverevolution, H335, Varget, IMR4320, along with a few others if anyone has any good safe loads to recommend. Probably just use the Leverevolution at a low starting load unless somebody has a better recommendation?

Loaded up 40 7mm rem mag. Dragging my feet on loading some 40 S&W. I seem to enjoy loading rifle more.

I use Leverevolution and run just a little under max with 160 grain bullets. I have a JM stamped marlin that likes this set up.
Cold outside (15 degrees)= reload time
300 blk out 125 grain sierras

I got to agree with that. I enjoy loading rifle much more myself.
Been getting a lot of emails from Midsouth offering various Hornaday bullets in sleeves of 5 boxes.
I'm good for now unless I can find some eldx in 25 cal
If you have any W748 on hand, you won't find a better 30-30 powder than that.
If not, the old standby IMR 3031 will work well, as will H 4895.
