What did you do today in the reloading room?

Quack, I ran your particulars 175 ELDX, 3.330" COAL, 20"bbl, and came up with 74gr to 74.5gr N570. Case is full but not compressed and pressure is low at 54kpsi.
Yes I cranked it to 69gr. for next load. I also loaded 5 rounds with 79gr LRT. Same bullet. I also have some 180gr ELDM loaded. The N570 seemed to burn completely, cleanup wasn't really bad either. Once I get accurate load I'll chrono.
N570 will still perform well in a 20" barrel. Am I seeing it correctly, your load is 65gr N570 with a 175gr bullet?
Yes that's correct. I started pretty conservative since I read the 7mm PRC can build pressure signs quickly.

I worked on some more 95 SST's for 6 arc today. I've struggled getting the right seating depth for those but I think I'm finally there with a much shorter OAL than I would have thought. Just need some more pigs to come around.

Do they shoot okay? I've had 0 luck shooting anything under 95grs in my 6arc. I've been shooting 100gr interlocks as my cheap bullets and they do pretty good
Right around 1 inch. That's with a Faxon gunner barrel. The Sierra tipped gamekings shoot a lot better in that one but I'm also pretty happy with 1 inch.

My Savage 99 in .308 really likes my loads with H4895 and Sierra bullets, so I'll save them for it. Since Sierra has gotten scarce and proud of their stuff, and H4895 is non existent these days I'll save the half pound or so I have left for it.

That means my intentions for the reloading bench tonight will revolve around my Model 70 Featherweight (also in .308) and a couple pounds of AA2495 and an abundance of Hornady 150 grainers. What little I've played with that powder shows promise.

I gotta hand it to Hornady. They've kept us in bullets through all the scarcity.

Loaded up some more 300 BLK with 190 Sub X today. This may be my head knocker round for trapping hogs.

PickettSFHunter,
How do you like the H110 powder for 300 Blackout subsonic with those Hornady bullets? Have you tried CFE-BLK or IMR-4227 powders?

I am using 12.3 grains (compressed) of CFE-BLK from Hodgdon's website for subsonic loads. I also have H110 (they call for 9.8 grains) and IMR-4227 (they call for 10.4gr compressed) but have not tried either of those two powders yet.

I've tried CFE-BLK. I liked it just fine but I use H110 for a lot of 300 BLK and 350 Legend reloading so I just keep it simple and keep one powder around. This 10.0 grain load is subsonic in a 10.5" gas gun anyway.

Ordered a Ruger American Ranch in 7.62x39. It won't be in for another 2-3 days so I loaded these up for it, and they're waiting on it.

L-R: Nosler 125 Ballistic Tip, Sierra 125 FN/HP, Sierra 125 Pro Hunter, Speer 130 FN. All near max book loads of CFE BLK. Starline brass for the Noslers, Norma for the rest.

We'll see how well this Ruger likes .308" bullets. My two AR uppers in this caliber prefer .308 to .310-311.

Moved it . Reloading bench was in the master bedroom, only place for it when we moved into our house at the time. Now, my work office is in the "bonus" room above the garage. Getting a new bedroom set in a couple of weeks and the wife said we needed the room, so I cleaned up my office and proceeded to lug everything up the stairs. Had to dismantle then rebuild my bench to get it up the stairs.
Only real down side was figuring out that I did not have a full 8lb jug of titegroup on hand. Apparently, over the last year or so I have been pulling out of both jugs, I now realize I only have about 6lbs of powder, not 3lbs in one and 8 lbs in the other. :(.
The real fun part of the move was carrying the cases of bullets up stairs. I sure got a workout in!
