What did you do today in the reloading room?

I hate pulling bullets
I have been pulling many many many this year-more than in previous 10 years combined. I do most definitely know what you mean.

I bought a "body die" and that solved the problem. This was with range brass in 308.
WM brass can get a bulge about as easy as can be. I teeny adjustment can make it right but what do you do with the loaded ones? I had 50!! Plus, my Son loaded 80 300 WM with the wrong powder.

I bought a bulge fixer-cheaper than tossing the brass.. And I chamber and eject rounds every time I even think I night have made an error.

Rubbed a blister on my hand, then busted it, knocking out bullets and powder from some rounds that I had loaded with recalled powder, that I was told "should" be good loaded in the case, it wasn't. 😩 Brass, bullets and primers ruined from corrosion. The powder makes for nice firework designs to burn tho. 😁

Loaded and shot some .45 ACP loads Today. Two loads. One was Lee 230 gr. TC cast, loaded with 10.0 gr. AA7 and CCI 300. Chronographed at 930 fps. Loaded to 1.190". The other load was 185 gr. XTP and 13.0 gr. AA7 and CCI 300. Loaded to 1.230". Chronographed at 1140 fps. By the way I did worked up to these carefully. I don't usually shoot hotter loads like this. Just wanted to load a few to maybe kill a deer with this Fall

Loaded a few more Today. A few .45's. Put a 24# spring in my 1911 Yesterday. I shot it several times and I really don't know what I'll do. Might just put the 20# back in. I shot some heavier 240 gr. cast loads, and just to see how it would do, I shot a few 230 gr. FMJ standard loads. It fed and shot just fine. Gonna take a little getting used to the stiff slide though.

Just loaded 25 6.5 creedmoor. Hornady once fired brass, 143 gr eldx over 42 gr imr4350.

I just realized that this brass is not all made by the same place. What a pain! The head stamp is just a little different on each. Maybe that's why I can't keep the primers in them. This brass really sucks.

Is that new production brass? Looks to have had the primer pockets swagged.
If your talking to me. Yes and No. I have had to swag the pockets to keep the primers from coming out. The brass to the right is new, but I still had to work the pockets to keep the primers in. Really pisses me off! The cost of this brass is like buying a new truck!

Loaded a few .45 ACP with 12.5 gr. AA7 and Lee 240 gr. cast. Used Federal Magnum Match primers. This load is in .45 Super level and will be shot in a Mauser 1916 .45 ACP carbine with 16.5" barrel. I will chronograph and see what they do

Are you using 45 super brass also? Or just super loads in ACP brass?

Right now just Super loads in standard brass. The Mauser is fully supporting the brass in chamber. So it might be ok. Also this isn't even a max load. If I have problems with the brass, I might buy some Starline brass, or make some .45-08 brass from .308, or .30-06 cut off and reamed. The rifle is rated for 51,000 psi, and Super ammo is only rated for about 28,000 psi. We'll see.

I figured I was the only one here loading 45supers. I've been using the starline brass, but I'm not convinced it's worth it yet

What are you shooting Supers in? My 1911 has a 24# Wolf spring and shock buffer but, not tried it with Super yet. I hope the standard brass holds up for awhile. I can make some from .30-06 or .308 but, it's a chore. Cut off reamed inside at .452 and trimmed to length and probably annealed too.

Roverboy, I'd been shooting light loads in that 1894, just to not shoot my hunting loads. (7.0gr unique 250gr swc)
Well I shot the full power loads mentioned above boy, you knew when you pulled the trigger. They weren't bad but way more than the light loads.

I've been shooting them out of a glock 41, with a cor-bon spring. I'm shooting lighter bullets than you, but I don't mind sharing some loads if you're looking for references
