What did you do today in the reloading room?

I'm loading up some 95 gr SST's for 6 ARC with leverrevolution. They look goofy with the crimp ring so high but that's at a OAL of 2.250. I hope to test on some hogs soon.

Finally, planning to load some fresh 30-06 cases today. Recipe will include AA 4350, Remington brass, CCI LR primers and 150 gr NABs. I had a few leftover that had been loaded already with the recalled AA 4350, that was supposed to be ok, if loaded, but apparently that wasn't the "case". I had about 20 or so left and when I got them out the powder had started "working" inside the cases and pressure and corrosion had split the necks and had seaped out, ruining the entire batch. New powder was acquired and I'll be starting almost from scratch once again.

No joy on the previously good load recipe for the 06. I'll have to retune this load. I shot some 300 WSM loads that were previously loaded, although a couple years later than the 06 loads, and showing no signs of degrading, and they still perform well. I'm still taking them all down and/or shooting them and starting fresh next season as well tho, bc it's only a matter of time before they degrade as well I'm sure.

MUP my 06 powder is IMR4350m 59.5 grains (or maybe more) pushes that 150 A-bond or Partition right at 3000 FPS Browning A-Bolt

I've never checked the MV of this rifle and load before. The 100 yard velocity seems a little slow, but this load wasn't a barn burner anyway, just fairly accurate. I have plenty of AA 4350 and H4350 for this application too. 👍🏻

Shot several 6 ARC with 90 Sierra Tipped GameKings and 95 SST's today so I then replenished by loading more 95 SST's. I'm hoping to try those on some Georgia deer soon.

I have 350 pieces ready for powder and bullets. 50 of each- 300 Win Mag, 270 and 35 Remington. 100 of each 308 and 30-06. Time to figure out where I am going to start on the powder charges before I load some up. I am going to start at the middle charge and go up from there at .5, loading 3 at each charge level so I can hit the range. Combined I have about 4000-5000 pieces of brass that I have de-primed, resized and tumbled. Yes that took me a while to do.

Powders on hand IMR-4350, IMR-4064 and Varget.

Bullet
35 Remington-Hornady 200 gr
308 for the 300, 308 and 30-06- Hornady SST 150 & 165 and Speer Hot-core 165
300 Win- 180 gr Sierra GameKing
270 - 140gr Hornady SST

Primers on hand- total of 2800
CCI250-M
Federal 210
Federal 215-M
Remington 9-1/2
Remington 9-1/2M

I have my dad's old recipe for 30-06 from 1974. CCI-200 primer, 48.5 grs IMR-4064 and 165 gr Nosler part. bullet.

Have been shooting a load worked up for my Browning Abolt 300 wsm, for 5 yrs now. This year, it seems like the bolt is getting sticky and the primers are flattening worse than usual. The load is a little on the "warm" side. All I can figure is a different powder lot (opened new jug).

My backup elk rifle is a savage 300 wsm, and the laod I use for the Abolt was way too hot for it, so ended up backing off 1 gr. Now, this load seem to shoot even better in the Abolt, than my original load but about 100 fps slower

So now I need to decide to pull a bunch of already loaded shells or not :) I hate pulling bullets

I kinda ran into a similar situation and found out it was the Lake city brass was not sizing down enough. It was going through the chamber checker fine, but the bolt wasn't wanting to close. I bought a "body die" and that solved the problem. This was with range brass in 308.
