What is wrong with people?

A guy pulls up on a four-wheeler, smoking a cigarette, "you mean, you walked into here", said with astonishment. I wasn't a mile from the road.

I cannot describe how much I despise the four wheeler crowd. They make peaceful spring mountainsides and pollute them with racing around all morning. Imo if you're too lazy or out of shape to climb a mountain side then hunt flat land. I enjoy getting the exercise and cannot imagine riding around like the buffoons around here. I can tolerate someone busting my hunt that has walked in, but I can't handle the sound of a four wheeler racing in on top of me.

It's all part of the new generation of hunters, they are unwilling to work for anything and want it as easy as possible

Never understood how you could effectively turkey hunt off a 4-wheeler.

You get one this morning, Setterman?

Yes sir, as Classic a hunt as I would ever wish for. Woods that were lifeless a week ago, were exploding this morning. Funny critters, that turn on and off like a light switch.

Good deal man! Was he a good one? I mean, they are all good but you know what I mean. What is a classic hunt?

4 wheeler or truck is nice to get around, but turkeys can hear that crap, I can't imagine hunting that way on public land. Private land is different, a quad can be useful for crossing the property but I'm still gonna go on foot for a good ways if I have to

Last week I was setup on a long ridge on the Oak Ridge hunt and had been about 2 hours then this guy comes walking by and waves, he walks about 100 yds or so and sits down and starts pulling stuff out of his vest. At first I thought he was going to call coyotes because through the binos I could see he was using a speaker. I heard all of these different turkey calls coming from his direction, I couldn't help myself since I had to go that way to leave, I walked right by him and said how are you doing all of those different calls and he replied....Dude, I got this turkey call app on my phone and I just plug this speaker in and turn it on, I thought instantly to myself, Setterman would love this guy! I just said well good luck and walked off.

Are you serious? I know people that effectively kill them in pick up trucks! All you need is a driver, a bed, and four hunters in it, plus one hunter hanging out passenger window. Take off thru the field and open fire, or down the road for that matter.

I should edit my post.

Never understood how you could effectively turkey hunt off a 4-wheeler without drinking beer.

Bird was in the back of a small drain, gobbling on his own some. Used that to slip in on him inside of 125 yards or so before making my first call. He answered calls well, but wouldn't budge (hens), went quiet on him and after probably 5 minutes I hear him spit and drum and soon he pops into view and slowly struts down an old logging road all the way to his death. He only broke strut twice, once to gobble at a crow and once when I raised his head to kill him. Whole hunt didn't last 30 minutes if that. 2 year old, but for me they're all fine as long as they're longbeards

Funny thing is Id guess most of the people you interact think the same thing about you......

Bwaahahaha, I doubt it, and if they do I could care less.

I imagine you fitting the mold I describe to perfection. So how many rattlesnakes you think TWRA will stock this year :rotf:

Oh I forgot you don't even turkey hunt.

So anyone that calls you out for being a Richard head is labeled an unethical woods slob by you? Christ you may be the most hateful person I've ever seen on a forum.

Unethical woods slob? Where exactly do you get that?

I'm not hateful just pointing out there's a ton of idiots out there along with some of the things they say or do.

Oh you need a tissue?

Amazingly, several years ago some really smart people invented this thing called Google, which offers a wealth of information along with pictures etc.
