On the way to work today in a downpour my universal joint on my truck went out. I really don't have the tools or place to fix it afterwork. Really is disappointing been trapped at work all week dreaming of getting back in the woods Saturday morning. Going to be cool in the AM. Really hoping I can get it fixed so I can go. Finding the time and tools will be part of the problem. I am supposed to help get the UKC coonhunt going afterwork at 6:00 and I work till 5:00.
Tomorrow morning should be a fine morning. I may have to see if I can find a loaner truck lol.
Sorry for complaining because I know many folks are having more trouble than me worrying about how to get to a turkey hunting place but it just bums me out when I have looked so forward to it.

Sounds like from your other thread you knocked the U Joint out..... :tu:
Yes sir I did.
In the process I almost took myself out.
I am still thinking about it. I was in a hurry parked on the levelest spot I could. Slightly inclined. Didn't have a scotch set the parking brake dropped the shaft and here come the truck. Parking brake didn't hold . I was trying everything in my power to not die. It almost ran over me. I was laying crossways under it. It drug me almost 20' before I got away from it. I was holding on trying to push myself out and stay away from the tire. I got road rash awful bad but I am alive. The good Lord helped me out from under it without a doubt.
I almost made a fatal mistake. All from being in a hurry. It took awhile for me to get back under it and I found stuff to scotch it with.
It was a ruff night last night thinking that I nearly missed out on my unborn son.
Thanks for checking in on me Aquaholic.
