When should I expect the Persimmons to drop?

The topographic basin Nashville sits in, defined at the edges by the Highland Rim.

I haven't seen persimmons on the ground much on the ridges of the Highland Rim, but I just finished a 12 mile hike through Percy and Edwin Warner Park in Nashville (all hardwood ridges) and persimmons were on the ground under every persimmon grove. My neighbors in west Nashville have mature persimmons in their yards and the fruit are starting to drop. Deer are just standing under the trees waiting for the next fruit to fall.
