Where should I place my shot when shooting a bolt from high up. Could be more than 45 degrees. It's much harder to hit both lungs and I'm thinking a deer can go a long way with a one lung shot.
Thank you

Low, low, then Lower. I practiced for a while from a treestand with a deer target and I couldn't believe how low I had to aim. Also 1 lung shots suck to track. I shot a deer with a bow that was quartering away and he bled forever before he died. You can see the entrance on this picture and the exit was just on the passenger side of his dark hair at his breastbone. Once I found him I stopped and took the picture of him in the woods. Once I took another step he jumped up and ran 50 yards and bedded back down. I just sat down and gave him another hour before I moved closer. This was all with a bow.

Walking up on a deer doing what he's doing in your second pic can be humbling and terrifying at the same time. Happy to find him, but you better be on him quick with another shot or you may never see him again. Been there too many times with elk. Great deer
